I went on a tour with a local hostel costing 120 yuan, I have been told that the ticket alone is 100 yuan but going through the hostel also got me door to door pickup and drop off.  Sichuan Opera is famous for it’s changing faces which is considered a trade secret, which this night certainly had. The show I saw also included two pieces from “The Romance of the Three Kingdoms,” one of the four great books in Chinese literature, these two pieces looked liked Beijing Opera to my untrained eye. The night also had a man who played the erhu brilliantly, a comedy that combined acrobatics, a highly skilled puppeteer, and a slightly more classical piece called The Eight Fairies and the Scholar.  The show lasted for about an hour, none of which I sat down for because I was upfront taking pictures the for the entire show.
